Assistant: Cork Steiner Kindergarten (February 2008)
The Cork Steiner Kindergarten at Summerhill North, Cork City, is currently looking to recruit an assistant to work with our two kindergarten teachers, starting from September 2008. Kindergarten Teacher (July 2007)
Thomastown Community Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten is seeking a Steiner-Waldorf trained Kindergarten teacher. If we find the right person for this job, we would consider someone who is currently still undertaking their Steiner-Waldorf training. This is a sessional care facility and the hours are basically 9.30am - 1pm, Monday to Friday, with some additional paid hours for preparation, etc. There are eight weeks paid leave every year. There is an EVS assistant teacher working alongside the teacher. There are 10 to 16 children and they are aged from 2½ to 5 years. Thomastown is a picturesque town situated on the River Nore in County Kilkenny, 17 km south of Kilkenny city in the southeast of Ireland. With a population of about 2,000, the town is the biggest in the county outside of Kilkenny city. It has a beautiful stretch of the river Nore running through it. The 12th century Jerpoint Abbey is located near the town. The N9 Dublin-Waterford road passes through Thomastown and Dublin is about 2 hours drive away. The town is connected to the Irish railway network on the Dublin–Kilkenny–Waterford line and is well served by a bus service. Thomastown is also home to Grennan Mill Craft School, an Equestrian School and the Camphill Community. Administrator / Coordinator – East Clare Environmental Group
CELT – Centre for Environmental Living and Training – the national charity for environmental education, training and awareness (nature conservation and traditional skills) - with office based in the E.C. Community Coop building in Scariff. We are seeking a suitably experienced and skilled person for the position of Part-time (with possible increase to full time) Administrator / Coordinator.

The applicant would need to have good communication skills, reasonable IT skills and basic book-keeping skills. In addition experience or interest in fund-raising would be helpful. Attendance at committee meetings and writing up of minutes, agenda, reports would be a requirement. The position also involves upkeep of data-bases, membership fees, event and demonstration bookings, file management, liaising with the public and CELT personnel / tutors / directors. An interest in sustainability and the natural environment would be a positive asset.
